Our services are provided under separate Project Agreements. Key general principles include:
– Scope of Work: Defined in the Project Agreement. Any additional or changed work requires a written change order signed by both parties.
– Payment: Terms are set out in the Project Agreement. Payments are typically progress-based. Late payments may incur interest at [e.g., 1.5% per month or as permitted by law].
– Completion and Delays: We strive to meet agreed timelines but are not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our reasonable control (e.g., weather, supply chain issues, client changes, or force majeure events).
– Safety and Compliance: We prioritize worksite safety and regulatory compliance. Clients must provide safe access and accurate site information.
– Warranties: We provide workmanship warranties as specified in the Project Agreement (typically [e.g., 1-2 years] on labor and materials, subject to exclusions like normal wear, client modifications, or improper maintenance). Manufacturer warranties on materials apply separately.
– Liens and Security: We comply with the Ontario *Construction Act* regarding builders’ liens and holdbacks.
